READY STEADY is a collector's shop full of second hand & new vinyl records - LP's, EP's, & 45's -, related papergoods, & a range of quality 2nd hand books. We buy good quality small & large collections of vinyl records, & good quality books on a wide range of subjects.

We are mainly interested in Rock, Pop & Jazz etc records from most eras & styles. Home visits can be arranged in most areas of metropolitan & outer Sydney, but we are also happy to travel outside Sydney if you have anything of interest to us.

Nick is originally from London's music explosion of the 60's. Frequenting clubs like Crawdaddy, Ricky Tick & the Ealing Club

( he still has his membership card). Experiencing The Rolling Stones, The Yardbirds, The Who, The Beatles and many more... He never got over it !

READY STEADY started in 2004 by Nicholas Solly former co-owner and manager of Discovery Records Sydney, West Ryde & Hornsby, since 1992.

Prior to Discovery, Nick ran the famous Pymble Record Fair in Sydney, & published the groundbreaking 60's record collector's magazine 'Ready Steady' during the 70's & 80's.

Nick wrote articles for, & helped run, the Australian Blues Society in the 70's During this time he met & interviewed several visiting overseas artists, including Muddy Waters, BB King, Hound Dog Taylor, & Freddy King.
